Besan Ladoo

Besan ladoo is a sweet dough-like food made during most South Asian festivals. Anyone can make them at home, as long as they’re up for a lot of stirring. Keep a close eye on the ladoo mixture so it doesn’t burn.

  1.  Sieve  gran flour in a large bowl or plate and keep it aside.
  2.  Heat ghee in pan over a low flame.
  3.  When ghee starts to melt, add sieved gram flour into it.
  4.  Mix well using spatula.
  5. Roast it over low flame until it turns golden brown, stirring continuously. When it is roasted properly, you will get nice aroma from it. It would take 7-10 minutes, however time may vary depending on the thickness of the pan or kadai you are using.
  6. Turn off the heat, add saffron, add nutmeg powder and cardamon powder.
  7. Transfer to a large plate and let it cool for 8-10 minutes. When the mixture is slightly warm, proceed the next step.
  8. Add powdered sugar and mix.
  9. Mix until sugar is properly blended with roasted flour.
  10. Divide it into small equal portions and give them a shape of laddu
  11. Garnish besan laddu with almond slice and let it cool for some time. Store them in an airtight container.

Gajar Ka Halwa Sweets Recipe

1/2 tin (200g)-NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 tbsp-MILKMAID Pure Ghee
1 litre-Milk
1 kg-Carrots Grated
25g-Kaju (Cashewnuts) Chopped
25 g-Kishmish (Raisins)

How to make

Mix carrots and milk in a pan, bring to a boil. Cook on low flame, stirring occasionally, till milk dries up.
Add NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk and continue cooking on low flame, stirring occasionally, till it dries up.
Add the ghee and cook for another 10 minutes. Garnish with nuts and raisins and serve hot.
